In January 2020, the Inquiry has been back to work and considering feedback from those parties that have viewed parts of its draft report.

Parties specifically named or referred to in the draft report are provided this opportunity according to the legislation that governs the Inquiry, and the principles of natural justice. The parties are able to challenge the Inquiry on any content they believe is inaccurate, misleading or unfair.

The feedback from these parties is considered by Inquiry Chair Dame Silvia Cartwright as she finalises her report for the Government to consider.

The Inquiry remains on track to present its main report, and an accompanying detailed summary of what the Inquiry heard from people, to the Governor-General by end of March 2020.
